Aesculap Academy is a global forum to offer medical professionals a platform of dialogue, exchanging and sharing the knowledge on the wide-ranged topics; from medical technology to hospital management.
Medical experts and opinion leaders at home and abroad are invited to give seminars / workshops.  Academy thus embodies the slogan of B. Braun Group – “Sharing Expertise”.

In 1995, the academic training center “Aesculapium” was established in Tuttlingen, Germany where the head office of Aesculap is located. “Aesculapium” derives from the Greek myth that the temple of Aesculap, the God of medicine, was the place where people studying medicine gathered and shared their knowledge.  While our “Aesculapium” in Tuttlingen has become one of the important centers for Aesculap Academy, in 2005, the 2nd training center found its place in “Langenbeck Virchow Haus” – a historical building in Berlin. In addition to these two hubs in Germany, Aesculap Academy has a worldwide network in more than 30 countries at present.

Aesculap Academy in Japan, too,  has been conducting its own activities; seminars by developer doctors, symposiums and workshops, with the aim of directly conveying the new knowledge and technologies, and sharing the findings in the clinical practices in Japan, and training/workshops for nurses on care & maintenance of surgical instruments/devices.

In March 2009, Aesculap Academy (seminar room) and a demonstration room were opened in the premise of B. Braun Aesculap Japan’s head office in Tokyo. The demonstration room has a function of showroom with more than 3,000 items of the products exhibited or stored.

Taking the advantage of these two rooms, Aesculap Academy in Japan would like to further focus on the quality of our activities and assume our responsibility to offer the uniform platform for all the medical professionals.
